OPP respond to crash at north end of Goderich

(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH, ON) – Dec. 9, at 11:08 a.m., Huron County OPP officers, along with Huron County Paramedic Services, responded to a single-vehicle crash located on Bluewater Veterans Highway, just north of Goderich. 

Upon arrival, emergency responders located a pick-up truck that had left the roadway and collided with the guard rail on the bridge. 

The driver, a 68-year-old of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh, was transported to hospital by ambulance and was later pronounced deceased.

The subsequent investigation has determined the deceased died as a result of a medical event not from injuries sustained in the crash.

Bluewater Veterans Highway was closed for the safety of investigators but has since been re-opened.
