​Jeff Bradley is new Huron-Kinloss fire chief

Jeff Bradley (above) of Walkerton is the new fire chief for Huron-Kinloss Township, effective March 25.

Mayor Don Murray made the announcement Tuesday (March 5).

“Jeff (Bradley) has more than 19 years’ experience in fire safety and suppression with a proven history of continuing education and skills development, as well as positive leadership development,” said Murray.

Chief administrative officer Mary Rose Walden welcomed Bradley to the Huron-Kinloss senior leadership team.

“He has demonstrated proficiency in emergency response, incident command, NFPA curriculum delivery, fire ground training, and project management,” she said. “His expertise extends to budgeting, fire suppression and alarm systems, code compliance, and active participation in emergency management and as a leader on the Bruce County Critical Incident Stress Support Team, highlighting a versatile and impactful career in fire services.”

“I’m looking forward to joining a well-established township leadership team as fire chief for the community of Huron-Kinloss,” said Bradley. “I’m honoured, proud and thankful for this opportunity and excited to serve the community and work with an outstanding group of firefighters.

“Leading both stations in public education, fire prevention and fire suppression is a responsibility I take seriously. My main goal is to ensure the safety and well-being of our firefighters and the residents of  Huron-Kinloss. With my experience and expertise, I plan to develop stronger relationships with other emergency response teams and our community.”

Bradley was the training officer for the Brockton Fire Department.
