​South Bruce Grey Health Centre seeks new board members

The South Bruce Grey Health Centre, which operates hospitals in Kincardine, Walkerton, Chesley and Durham, is seeking new members for its board of directors.

The recruitment period is open from now until April 5, states a press release issued Wednesday.

The board of directors is responsible for the overall governance of the affairs of the health centre, and each director is responsible to act honestly, in good faith and in the best interests of the corporation, and in so doing, supports the health centre in fulfilling its strategic plan.

The health centre has a skills-based board of directors, as it is important for the board to comprised of individuals with skills, experience, qualities, and diversity that are appropriate with the corporate mission, objectives, and strategic direction.

The South Bruce Grey Health Centre is seeking applications from individuals over the age of 18 with expertise and expertise in the following areas:
 
  • Clinical
  • Legal
  • Finance
  • Human Resources
  • Patient and Health Care Advisory
  • Information Technology

Additionally, eligibility qualifications require that individuals have a principal residence or business within the area serviced by the health centre, including the communities and surrounding areas of the four hospital sites.
