We hope everyone had an enjoyable Spring Break and stayed safe and healthy!
Congratulations to Margaret Reid who celebrated her 90th birthday recently, and to Margery and Ken MacDonald who celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. Wow to all of you!
Thanks to everyone involved in the successful Youth Horticulture meeting held Wednesday in Ripley. Tryntje Eisen, Heather Newman, Linda Jaynes and Mary Rose Walden did a great job of informing the children (and the adults) about aspects of growing bulbs.
The Parkinson's Support Group met Tuesday at Malcolm Place. Everyone is welcome to attend our monthly meetings.
Julianne House and Geraint, Meighan Hunter and Everleigh, all of London, visited with the Clifford family last week. Great fun having the babies to love and cuddle.
The Logtenberg family gathered at the home of Lillian and Derk Logtenberg to celebrate Grandpa’s 82nd birthday Tuesday of last week, with a potluck lunch and, of course, lots of desserts! Grandpa - and everyone else - enjoyed seeing two of his great-granddaughters as well – Emily and Evelyn - and the musical talents of Kayla on violin and Daniel on guitar!
Friday, March 17, the Grey County Holstein Car Tour saw almost 400 people travel to the five different operations, including Hi-Hope Holsteins - Jamie and Crystal Farrell; Lewis Land and Stock Farms – Anson Lewis; Bencrest Farms - Fred and Marian Hopkins; Blanhaven Farms - Blaine, Debbie, Evan and Jackie Blanchard; and Goldstar Genetics - Neil and Laura Martin. The farms were located in the Holstein and Durham area.  This week, March 24, is the Bruce County Holstein Tour in the Mildmay area.
Happy Belated Birthday to Elizabeth Nicholson, Marilyn Reid, and Sandy McEwan!
Our thoughts and prayers are with those in hospital at this time.
The robins, red-wing blackbirds and the tundra swans made an appearance in the past weeks - so nice to see the birds coming back!
