Hitting the greens in support of youth mental health

In Canada, an estimated 1.2-million youth are affected by mental illness, but only 20 per cent are able to access help.

Sept. 30, you can help more youth gain access to mental health support.

WES For Youth Online, based in Walkerton, is hosting its inaugural golf tournament at Ainsdale Golf Course, located on Highway 21, just south of Kincardine. All levels of golfers are welcome to come out to support the goal of raising funds and awareness.

For $150 per person (or $500 per team of four), golfers will receive 18 holes of golf with a cart, light lunch, full dinner, access to the silent auction, a gift bag, and the ability to help out a worthwhile cause. Spots are limited.

“Young Canadians are struggling to access mental health services,” says Yolanda Cameron, co-founder and board chairperson of WES for Youth Online. “Our services help hundreds of youth every year and without fund-raising dollars from events like this tournament, youth would continue to struggle to access mental healths services.”
