South Bruce OPP report drug charges; drunk falls into river; and shoplifter charged

VEHICLE CHECK LEADS TO DRUG CHARGES
 
(LUCKNOW, ON) - Oct. 11, at 10:07 p.m., members of the South Bruce OPP and members of the OPP Community Street Crime Unit - Grey Bruce, checked a silver Chrysler 200 on Campbell Street in Lucknow. Officers found a quantity of illegal drugs in the vehicle.
 
Thirty-one-year-old Nollan WHITFIELD of Brockton was charged with possession of a controlled substance, personation and two counts of fail to comply with a recognizance. He was held in custody pending the results of a show cause hearing Oct. 12.
 
Twenty-six-year-old Stacey SCHNELLER of West Perth was charged with possession of a controlled substance and personation. She was held in custody pending the results of a bail hearing Oct. 12.
 
Twenty-five-year old Joshawa CROLLE of Morris-Turnberry Township was charged with possession of a controlled substance and drive with open liquor. He is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 1.

WOMAN FALLS INTO SAUGEEN RIVER, CHARGED UNDER LIQUOR LICENCE ACT
 
(WALKERTON, ON) - Oct. 10, at 4:17 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of two people in the Saugeen River near the dam along the Walkerton community trail.

Officers arrived with members of the Walkerton Fire Department and Bruce County Paramedics, to find that the man and woman were walking on the dam when the woman fell into the water. Forty-year-old Crystal DINSMORE of Brockton and Fifty-year-old Kirk MURRAY of Brockton were both charged under the Liquor Licence Act. DINSMORE received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries at a local hospital.

SHOPLIFTER CHARGED
 
(WALKERTON, ON) - Oct. 10, at 6:57 a.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a theft at the Mac's Convenience Store located along Yonge Street South in Walkerton. 

Officers arrived to find that a woman had taken items from the store. She was located nearby and arrested without incident. Fifty-four-year-old Darlene VANDERBURGH of Brockton was charged with theft. She is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 8, to answer to the charge.
