(TOWNSHIP HURON- KINLOSS, ON) - Jan. 13, at about 1 p.m., the South Bruce OPP apprehended a man wanted in connection with an uttering-threats incident involving a firearm, which occurred Jan. 11 in the Township of Huron-Kinloss.
Shortly after 12 p.m. Jan. 13, the man was observed operating a vehicle on Bruce County Road 6, Ripley, in Huron-Kinloss. Police attempted to block the roadway at which time the man drove toward the blockade; damaging two OPP cruisers. A civilian passenger vehicle was damaged a short distance away before the man fled from his vehicle. After a short foot chase, he was apprehended and taken into custody.
The lone male occupant of the civilian passenger vehicle sustained minor injuries. He was treated at the scene by Emergency Medical Services and released. A female passenger inside the suspect's vehicle also sustained minor injuries for which she was treated and released.
A South Bruce OPP officer attended the hospital where he was treated for a fractured wrist and released.
30-year-old Glenn William O'NEILL of Huron-Kinloss is in custody pending a bail hearing scheduled for Jan. 14.
Several charges are anticipated.
