Bruce Power Visitors’ Centre has record turn-out at March Break Program
The Bruce Power Visitors’ Centre was a busy place during March Break.
Last week's March Break Program welcomed more than 1,400 people of all ages to its wide variety of activities, which included robotics demonstrations with the Kinetic Knights (FRC Team 781), reptile, turtle and lights/laser shows, crafts, outdoor activities, family movies, and more.
“The community’s response to this year’s March Break Program was overwhelming,” said Chris Mercanti, manager of community relations. “The visitors’ centre staff did a fantastic job in organizing a program that was of interest to people of all ages, and that was reflected in the record-setting turnout.”
The March Break Program was also an excellent way to showcase the visitors’ centre and teach local people about the benefits of clean, reliable nuclear electricity.
The high level of interest shown last week bodes well for the upcoming Summer Bus Tour Program which welcomed more than 5,000 visitors in 2018. Bus tours are offered three times per day, seven days per week, in July and August (except statutory holidays). Pre-registration for bus tours begins in May at
