DAVID PATRICK GRIBBLE
December 3, 2024
David Patrick Gribble of Kincardine died unexpectedly, Dec. 3, 2024, after a short battle with cancer. He was 76. Survived by his loving wife, Diane (Slumskie); his son, Jeff; his daughter, Kim (Chris); and his grandchildren, Avery and Finn. Predeceased by his parents, Leonard and Kathleen. His loss will be mourned by his brother, Don (Jane); and he will be missed greatly by all of his extended family and friends. Dave and Diane made their home in Kincardine for more than 45 years. As a first-responder, he touched thousands of lives during the course of his employment as a paramedic. In his own quiet way, Dave was always extremely proud of his family. His grandchildren were the light of his life, and he loved every opportunity to watch them play sports, never hesitating to share their accomplishments with anyone who would listen. His love of history, puzzles, and terrible jokes will live on in his family’s legacy, and he will always be remembered for his humour, kindness, and willingness to help others. The family asks for your thoughts and prayers as they grieve this loss, privately, at this time. Dave will be forever missed by all who knew and loved him. The family is grateful for the incredible support shown by his doctors and his caregivers at Huron Shores Hospice in Tiverton. A celebration of life will be held in the spring of 2025. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family asks for memorial donations to Huron Shores Hospice; arrangements entrusted to Huron Shores Cremation, Port Elgin; www.huronshorescremation.com.
