Rodene Alexandra Utley (née Pentland) of Kincardine, died peacefully at home, Monday, Dec. 9, 2024, at the age of 72. Known by all as Dene, she lived a joyous life full of love and laughter, and was happiest when surrounded by her family. Beloved life partner of Duane Waddington. Loving Mom of Erin (Jason Whitcroft), Owen Utley (Elizabeth), and Tara (Stephen Venne). Bonus Mom of David Waddington (Megan) and Scott Waddington (Jen). Cherished Grandma of three grandsons and four granddaughters. Dene will be missed by her siblings, Norma Crockett, Carol Andrew (Robert), and Lori Baer (Greg); and sister-in-law, Nellie Clayton. Predeceased by her parents, Wilfred and Marjorie Pentland and brother Larry Pentland. A celebration of Dene’s life will be held at the Kincardine Pavilion, Monday, Dec. 16, 2024, from 1-4 p.m. This will be an informal gathering of family and friends. A few words will be spoken at 2 p.m., with light refreshments being served. A special thank you to personal support workers Christine and Gail.
