David “Paul” Nelson of St. Helens, and formerly of Brampton, died peacefully, Dec. 12, 2024, after a courageous battle with lung cancer, at the age of 68. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Brenda Nelson. Dear brother of Susan, Karen (Ken Shiels), and Laurie. Brother-in-law of Delma Rand, Leona Robichaud (Gary), Patsy Bennett, and Merlin Stanley (Diane). Also survived by step-children, Wanda (Jim Blumbergs), Scott Skillen (Tracy), Craig Skillen, and Tracy (Scott Heard); as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents, Lily and Harold Nelson; and his brother, Steven. Paul was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also loved his Harley Davidson motorcycles and all of the road trips and adventures that they led him on. He will be greatly missed by is many nieces, nephews, numerous friends, and the St. Helens community. A celebration of his life will be held at a future date.
