March 14, 2025
Jean Marie Harron (née Graf) of Kincardine, died peacefully, Friday, March 14, 2025, surrounded by her family, at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Kincardine. She was 92. Beloved and cherished wife of the late Clarence Harron (1997). Loving mother of Douglas (Louise) of London, Dianne (Joe) of Garden Hill, and David of Kincardine. Grandma of Dan (Michelle), William (Dakota), Emily and Allison all of London; Nana of Callie and Scott; and great-grandmother of MacKenzie and Harrison. Fondly remembered by her sister-in-law, Mary Musselman of Kincardine; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, George and Dara (née Waechter) Graf, and step-mother, Rita (McIntee), all from Walkerton, as well as her brothers, Gerald Graf (Ruth) and Elmer Graf (Marjory), both of Kitchener; and brother-in-law, Edgar Musselman of Kincardine. Jean was born in Walkerton, May 12, 1932, the middle of three children. She was raised on a farm outside of Walkerton where she stayed until the age of 16. She moved into Walkerton and was employed at a restaurant where, ultimately, she met and married her husband, Clarence. She lived 70 years in Kincardine. She loved her home, her garden, her flower beds and her beloved dog, Molly. She lived her life the way she wanted. She was a strong and determined woman who was able to stay in the home her husband built by hand for her, until the end. The family extends sincere thanks to all the nurses at the Kincardine Hospital who took such good care of our mother. A private service was held at the Kincardine Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
