MARIE SCOTT (nee BRODACKI)

Marie Scott (nee Brodacki) of Lucknow, beloved wife of the late Walter Scott, died at the Wingham and District Hospital, Monday, Sept. 15, 2025, at the age of 88. Born June 14, 1937, in Viscount, Saskatchewan, she was the daughter of the late Lila (Stewart) and Peter Brodacki. Mother of Donna Eaton (Mark Walters) of Port Dover, Doug (Jean) Johnston of Lucknow, Debbie Johnston (Ron Johnson) of Goderich, Randy (Maureen) Scott of Wroxeter, Christine (Ian) Inglis of Belmore, Pat (Dan) Campbell of Wingham and Vickie (Barry) Petteplace of Teeswater. Greatly missed by 14 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Also survived by her sisters, Janice (Howard) Andal and Denise Drapak Brodacki, both of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Predeceased by her great-grandchild, Taya Gurney; sister, Helen Parr; and brothers, Ed and Ken Brodacki. Marie always had a smile on her face. She was a very giving person and someone who fiercely loved her family. The time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was very special to her. She will be sorely missed by them all. Following Marie’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held, with interment in South Kinloss Cemetery, Lucknow.
