Mary “Dianne” Atkinson (nee McCallum) of Kincardine, died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025, with family at her side, at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Kincardine, in her 83rd year. Beloved wife of the late Ross Atkinson (2025). Loving mother of Angela Merritt (Bill) and the late Gail Atkinson. Proud grandmother of Joe Merritt, Heidi Robson and James Merritt; and great-grandmother of Dahlia Robson and Brantley Merritt. Fondly remember by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Dianne’s life was her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and the every day things that make life great: weekly card games with her friends, camping across Canada with the family in the early days, driving adventures, working at the high school as a custodian, and watching Ross look after their beautiful yard. A simple life that touched the lives of many, she will be missed by family and friends. The funeral will be held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, 757 Princes Street, Kincardine, Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025, at 11 a.m., with Ann Maycock officiating. Interment, Kincardine Cemetery. Reception to follow in the Davey-Linklater lounge.
