HELEN MARGARET LEADER (nee SHOULDICE)

Helen Margaret Leader (nee Shouldice) died Sunday, Oct. 12, 2025, peacefully, at her home in Paisley, after a brief battle with cancer. She was in her 70th year. Devoted wife of John Leader. Loving mother of Heather Ewing (Chris) of Dornoch, and Elaine Murray (Rob) of Edmonton; and stepmother of Magdalena Luna (Arthur) of Calgary. Cherished grandma of Morgan (Nick), Mitchell and Hayley Ewing. Sister of Jeanie Mackie, Mary Thoman, and Anne McMullen (Les); and beloved aunt of all her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Mervin and Margaret Shouldice; and stepson, Oliver Leader. Much loved by her many long-standing friends and her work colleagues and farm associates through Bruce Packers and The Beefway. For more than 20 years, she was the friendly voice on the phone for anyone who called The Beefway in Kincardine, bringing warmth and kindness into every interaction. Her genuine nature and respectful relationships with the customers have touched many lives, making her not just a co-worker but a dear friend to many in the community. Visitation will be held at Paisley United Church, 399 Goldie St., Paisley, Friday, Oct. 17, 2025, from 6:30-9 p.m., where a memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025, at 11 a.m. Private inurnment in Douglas Hill Cemetery.
