Marianne Gwendolyn “Gwen” Turner (née White) of Kincardine, formerly of Port Elgin, died Nov. 4, 2025, at the age of 87. Dearly missed by her children, Lynn (Michael) Coward of Hubbards, Nova Scotia (N.S.), Lisa of Cole Harbour, N.S., Larry (Karen) of Gander, Newfoundland (N.L.), and Lee (Renée) of Summerside, Prince Edward Island (P.E.I.). Proud grandmother of Craysyn (Mairi), Corwin (Stephanie), and Clarke of Nova Scotia, Laura and Jennifer (Christopher) of Newfoundland, Kaitlyn (Ryan) of New Brunswick, Kyle of Quebec, and Dominique of Prince Edward Island. She joyfully saw the birth of hew great-grandchildren, Sierra, Casey, and Hudson, in recent years. She will be remembered fondly by her nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and her extended family; her nursing classmates; her beloved sister-in-law, Beth Mossey; and long-time family friends, Viola Proudlove of St. Marys; and Bob Finlayson of Kincardine; among many others in Ontario, Nova Scotia, and Arizona. Predeceased by her husband, Ron Turner; her parents, T. Clarke and Marjorie White of Port Elgin; her dear sister, Winnifred Percival; her in-laws, Ernie and Laura Turner; and her infant son, Scott Turner. Gwen studied nursing in Stratford, Ontario, and later worked at the Grace Maternity Hospital in Halifax, N.S. After nursing, she was an avid crafter in Dartmouth, N.S., for many years. She loved to travel and saw all Canadian provinces plus many other countries. She enjoyed many winters in Mesa, Arizona. She collected friends everywhere she went, and always enjoyed going to church, playing cards, and keeping in touch with family and friends everywhere. The Turner family wishes to thank the caring staff at Trillium Court Seniors’ Community in Kincardine for the wonderful care provided to Gwen this year. Cremation has taken place at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 2723 Victoria St. N., Breslau, Ontario. A celebration of life will be held in the future in Dartmouth, N.S.
