JAMES RICHARD "JIMMY" KOLASKA
February 15, 2026
James Richard “Jimmy” Kolaska of Goderich, formerly of Kincardine and Blairs Grove, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026, at the age of 57. Born in 1968 in Georgetown, Jimmy had recently moved to Goderich. He dedicated more than 30 years to his career as a nuclear operator with Ontario Hydro and Bruce Power, earning the respect of colleagues for his skill and dedication. Jimmy cherished his cottage on Lake Talon where he enjoyed quiet morning coffees, hiking the trails, puttering around the property, and making lasting memories with his family. He also loved his bike and tearing up the trails, running, strumming his guitar, and playing pool. He was a fantastic cook. His smoked salmon was always a favourite with our family and friends. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Nathalie Castilloux; his sons, Tanner (Kelsey) and Daniel; and his grandson, Coen. Also survived by his parents, John and Beverley Kolaska; sister, Lori Prehn; niece, Natasha (Simon); nephews, Alex and Nicholas; and mother-in-law Francine Joseph. In remembrance of Jimmy's life, we ask that any charitable donations be made by cheque to: Lake Talon Conservation Association, 185 Talon Lake Road, Rutherglen, Ontario, P0H 2E0. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no funeral or visitation. A private celebration of his life will be held at the family cottage at a later date, where his memory and love will be honoured by those closest to him. You always had my heart, until we meet again my gentle Jimmy. Love, N. Messages of condolence for Jimmy's family, are welcome at https://www.falconerfuneralhomes.com/.
