JANET MARIE CASLER

March 4, 2026

Janet Marie Casler of Kincardine died March 4, 2026, at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Kincardine, with her final days surrounded by family, friends and so much love. She was 80. Born March 3, 1946, in Mitchell, she the daughter of Welby Casler and Dorothy Engel (Casler). Survived by her daughter, Jane Casler (Glenn Welsh); grandchildren, Katelyn, Avery, and Corbin Chilton; brother, Rob Engel; and sister, Marilyn Engel. She will also be missed by her niece, Devin Engel; and close friend, Melody Charbonneau. Predeceased by her cherished son, Aaron; and her brother, Donald Casler. Janet lived a full life, with a career as a nurse in Toronto, working in the emergency room and labour and delivery unit, and later at Trillium Court Seniors' Community in Kincardine as a PSW. She travelled the world and loved to share the stories of her adventures. Above all, Janet's greatest accomplishments in her life were her children, Aaron and Jane. They were her purpose, her pride and joy, and while Aaron’s time with us was all too short, she spent every moment of his life pouring her heart and soul into giving him the life he deserved. Janet and Aaron were life-long fans of the Kincardine Scottish Pipe Band and rarely missed a Saturday Night Parade in the summer. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Details will be announced, when available. In place of flowers, as expressions of sympathy, donations to the National Tay-Sachs and Allied Diseases Association, would be greatly appreciated by the family. Donations and condolences may be made on-line at www.daveylinklaterfuneralhome.com.
