ALICE RUTH RITCHIE (nee JOHNSTON)

Alice Ruth Ritchie (nee Johnston), beloved wife of the late Clarence R. Ritchie, of Lucknow, died peacefully at Pinecrest Manor, Monday June 29, 2026, at the age of 94. Born June 12, 1932, in Wingham, she was the daughter of the late Ella (Elliott) and Gershom Johnston. Greatly missed by her children, Barb (Larry) Harper of Belgrave, Brenda (Nick) Barclay of Egmondville, Steve (Linda) Ritchie of Sundre, Alberta, Don (Karen) Ritchie of Lucknow and Maryanne (Fred) Leget of London; as well as 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Also survived by her brother, Jack Johnston of Strathroy; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brothers, Elliott, William, Ken and Jim Johnston; and sisters, Donalda Smith, Lois McMichael, Ariel Wood and June Robinson. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 7-9 p.m., at the MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home, Lucknow. The funeral will be held Friday, July 3, 2026, at 1 p.m., at the Lucknow United Church, with visitation also one hour prior. Interment, Greenhill Cemetery, Lucknow.
