JESSICA ELIZABETH BURROWS (nee RUTLEDGE)
August 10, 2026
Jessica Elizabeth Burrows of Kincardine died peacefully, with family by her side, Monday, Aug. 10, 2026, at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Kincardine, in her 43rd year. Beloved wife of the late Dale Burrows, and mother of Alecsys. Dearly missed by her parents, Ken and Deb Rutledge; brother, Travis Rutledge; nephew, Cooper; dear friend, Ashley Reid; grandmother, Eleanor Campbell; great-aunt, Marian Glen; and special cousins, Curtis and Christopher Glen. Remembered by her aunts and uncles, Carol (Paul) Kroetsch, Karen Hofstetter, and Mike (Terri) Rutledge; parents-in-law, Daniel Burrows (Pam Campbell) and Moira (Mike) Trafford-Liebregts; sister-in-law of Danielle (Alex) March, Andrew, Tre and Devon Burrows; Dale’s grandfather, Ronald Burrows; and many great-aunts and -uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. Predeceased by her grandparents, Allan and Gay Rutledge, Paul and Jean Hanniman, and Barbara Burrows. Jessica grew up surrounded by the love of her family and a large extended family. She had a spitfire spirit, a determined soul and a large, loyal heart that extended to all, including her many friends. She preferred to be called “Jess” and was a princess right from the start. Her dad’s little “frog” was never going to be that farm girl heading out to the barn eager to do chores, she was more the dress up, purse-in-hand, shopper. Dale was her world, and when Alecsys was born, Jess was “over the moon,” and her family was complete. She enjoyed, and supported, Dale’s music, Alecsys’ participation in many sports, family outings and hosting family and friends. Jess will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved her. A private graveside service will be held in the Kincardine Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
