Ronald “George” Stanley of Kincardine died at Kincardine hospital, Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at the age of 69. The eldest of six children born to the Millie (nee Stewart) and Ron Stanley, George was born in Kincardine, April 3, 1954. Greatly missed by his siblings, Shirley Garniss (Doug) of Wingham, Bob Stanley (Sandi Moore Swanson) of Port Elgin, and Mary Stanley-Beitz (Rick Beitz) of Kincardine; and sister-in-law, Val Stanley of Kincardine. Beloved uncle of 12 nieces and nephews: Ann Garniss, Adam Garniss, Jamie Brown, Matt Stanley, Rachel Pagé, Hailey Patrice, Tony Beitz, Ricky Beitz, Kihya Beitz, Heather Vander Hoek, Mark Ballagh, and Blake Scott. Also missed by several great-nieces and great-nephews. Predeceased by sister, Debbie Stanley-Ballagh; and brother, Bill Stanley. George’s happiest times were spent at “the shop,” Stanley Farm Supplies, and touring around with his brother, Bill. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 6, 2023, at the Ainsdale Golf Course, Kincardine, from 1-4 p.m. Words of remembrance will be at 2 p.m., with Pastor Kenneth Craig officiating. A luncheon will follow. Casual dress welcomed.
