Ainsdale ladies persevere through another rainy Tuesday golf game

The late afternoon weather June 30, didn't dampen the spirits nor prevent the 60 members and guests of the Ainsdale Ladies from having a great social gathering. 

The two-person scramble was deferred to an early buffet dinner, following a question-and-answer discussion about the rules of golf with Joe-the-Pro. 

MacG's House of Fashion sponsored the prize table, providing Kim Catto and Becky Catto, Beth Mimnagh and Heather Struthers, and Wendy Houghton and Darlene Stevens with gift certificates for MacG's.

Barb Lansink and Barb Grubb received gift certificates for Ainsdale Golf Course and Somerhill Golf Club. Bonnie Boyd and Kate Skelding, Jeanette Barnes and Erin Kelly and Laura Haight and Erin Simmons were awarded a sleeve of golf balls each. Gail MacIntosh and Regan Carruthers, Nancy Turcotte and Edna Knight, Denise Tighe and Debby Antler and Bonnie Ritchie and Bev Spence happily received gift certificates from Dairy Queen.
 

SENIOR MEN'S LEAGUE
 

Fifty-one players enjoyed the senior men's day, on the back nine at Ainsdale, Wednesday, with the team of John Gauch, Ken Bresee, Hugh Jones and Richard Emmerton, winning a three-way tie, at minus-3, in a putt-off. 

Bob Black and Doug Gauthier were closest to the hole on No. 12 and No. 17, respectively.
