We all must work to protect the trees we have left, says Kincardine resident
To the Editor:
The tree surveys the Municipality of Kincardine has put out there have both been written with questions that make it seem that the average resident is responsible for all the tree loss in our municipality.
We all need to work toward protecting what trees we have left.
Trees are a community benefit but, honestly, the 25 acres cut in our municipality in the past year or two have been the result of developers telling us we need housing. They have been totally irresponsible and greedy.
That is why we need public tree bylaws because the general public and developers have been lumped together.
So far, not one house has been built at the north end of the Town of Kincardine but our neighbourhoods and wildlife have been destroyed.
Greed.
