Two new faces join cast for HAWK production of “The Ladies Foursome”
Two new faces have joined the cast for HAWK Theatre’s production of “The Ladies Foursome” by Norm Foster. However, they are not new to the stage.
Kerri Heroux, 47, of Lucknow works at The Venue office and is studying psychology. Originally from Milton, she moved to Lucknow a year ago to be closer to family and friends.
She has been acting since she was four years old, in television and film and some theatre.
“I love it,” she says. “I went to Seneca College and studied media, communications and TV broadcast, working in front of a camera. I worked at Global and had a small part in ‘Criminal Minds’ before the COVID-19 pandemic hit.”
When she heard HAWK Theatre was planning a fall production, she auditioned and got the part of Tate, one of the golfing friends, who has three children, a doctor spouse, is a so-so golfer and has dreams of owning her own cafe.
“She’s such an annoying character,” says Heroux, with a laugh. “She’s an air-head; she seems oblivious, but she’s sly.”
Just like her character, Heroux has three grown children. She loves art, and enjoys painting and sculpture.

Lianne Nicholson, 28, is also new to the HAWK stage. Originally from Goderich, she has lived in Lucknow for almost six years and is a BMO teller.
She had auditioned for a play prior to the pandemic, so when director Maureen Matchett asked if she was interested in this production, she jumped at the chance.
“I read the script and loved it,” she says. “I auditioned and was cast as Dory, the newcomer to the group, who has six children, owns a northern lodge, is a very good golfer, is American, and knows some secrets.”
Nicholson enjoys her character because she, herself, plays golf and understands how the game is played. She also likes the fact that the story has lots of twists and turns, and they all think they know what’s going on.
When she’s not working or rehearsing, or taking care of her cat, Nicholson plays the French horn in the Lucknow Classics Concert Band, and plays darts at the Lucknow Legion where she is a member.

Joining Heroux and Nicholson on stage, are veteran actors Julie Bullivant, 53, as Connie, a news anchor who is widowed, a very good golfer, competitive, has no kids, and is non-nonsense and insensitive; and Lynn Shepherd-Adamson, 59, as Margot, who owns a construction company, is divorced, estranged from her daughter, is a lousy golfer and is hungover.
Bullivant and Shepherd-Adamson are both excited to be back on stage and look forward to bringing this play to life.
“The Ladies Foursome” is a comedy for adults about everything except golf!
The day after the funeral for their friend, Catherine, Margot, Tate and Connie gather for a round of golf in honour of their recently-departed fourth. At the golf course, they are joined by another woman, an old friend of Catherine’s whom they have never met.
Over the course of 18 holes, secrets and confessions unravel as the women discuss love, sex, children, careers ... and a bit of golf. It’s a hilarious and heart-warming round of golf!
