What gives?

To the Editor:

Have Bruce County residents become the wimps of Western Ontario?

Bruce County buildings were closed Thursday because of a forecasted snowstorm. School buses were cancelled. We likely had four inches of snow – nothing to bring things to a stand-still.

In this, likely the warmest winter in decades, we seem to have had more days without the school buses running than in the worst of winters.

Every week, we seem to receive weather forecasts predicting Armageddon. The weather service is like the boy who cried wolf. Hyping storms is dangerous – leave the hype for the real storms.
