Kincardine Job Fair draws hundreds of job-seekers
Several hundred job-seekers, armed with resumes, attended the Job Fair and Career Expo held Thursday at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine.

Hosted by the Municipality of Kincardine with partners VPI Working Solutions and the Kincardine and District Chamber of Commerce, the event offered opportunities for those searching for their first job, as well as those seeking professional, full-time employment.

The 36 companies in attendance represented a cross-section of industries in the community, including hospitality, manufacturing, the nuclear sector and health care. Companies offering job search and training programs were also on-site.
Companies came from as far away as Tobermory and Owen Sound, with an eye on recruiting talent to fill both seasonal and permanent positions.

“We are very excited to see such enthusiasm from businesses as well as job-seekers,” said chamber of commerce executive director Tammy Schneider. “This is the first job fair held in the area since 2019, and support from all business disciplines and the community has been tremendous. We know recruitment is a big issue for many businesses and wanted to create an event that connected employers and employees, with a variety of skill sets.”

Those who were unable to attend the event are encouraged to visit www.jobsinbruce.ca/ for employment opportunities currently available across the region.
