I have two Catch the Ace reports for you this week. Oct. 18, Steve Musselman was the winner, and chose Envelope No. 23 which contained the Five of diamonds. He won $649; if he had caught the Ace of Spades, he would have happily gone home with $7,079. Oct. 25, Phyllis O’Reilly was the winner, and chose Envelope No. 27 which contained the Two of Clubs. She won $734; if she had found the Ace of Spades, she would have walked away with $8,265! Grab your tickets and join in the fun. It takes only one ticket to win, so the more you buy, the better your chances are. The next draw is Wednesday, Nov. 1, at 4 p.m., and the jackpot is close to $9,000!Wouldn’t that be a great boost to your Christmas fund?!

The Oct. 21 Saturday Meat Draw saw Sarah Roberts as our double-dipper, and Elmer and Jamie winning $163 in the 50/50 draw.

Remembrance Day will be here before you know it, so keep an eye out for the members who will be at various locations around town to make sure you have your poppy. All donations go directly to support veterans and their families. There is a Legion Remembrance Day service at the Tiverton Cenotaph, Nov. 5 at 2 p.m. The Kincardine Legion will be holding its service Saturday, Nov. 11, beginning at 10 a.m. We recommend you get there early as it’s on a weekend and we expect a large crowd to honour our veterans. A small lunch (by donation) will be served after the service. Everyone is welcome to come in and help us remember those who sacrificed so much for us. It’s time to wear your poppy with pride!

Daylight Saving Time ends Sunday, Nov. 5, so remember to set your clocks back an hour. If you forget, you will be early for everything. Maybe that’s a good thing!

The Legion Craft Show and Bake Sale is Nov. 18, beginning at 9 a.m., and running until 3 p.m. Set-up is Friday, Nov. 17.

The next Trivia Night is Friday, Nov. 24, at 7 p.m. in the hall. Sign-up will start Nov. 13. Grab your super smart friends and family and give the other teams a run for their money.
