​Bluewater District School Board releases EQAO results

The Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) has released the results of the 2022-23 assessments, with the Bluewater District School Board struggling to meet the provincial average in almost every category, especially mathematics.

The results are as follows:

Grade 3
 

• Reading – 76% (Provincial Average 73%)
• Writing - 50% (Provincial Average 65%)
• Mathematics - 48% (Provincial Average 60%)

Grade 6
 

• Reading - 80% (Provincial Average 84%)
• Writing - 73% (Provincial Average 84%)
• Mathematics - 39% (Provincial Average 50%)

Grade 9
 

• Mathematics - 48% (Provincial Average 54%)

Grade 10
 

• Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test - 75% of first-time eligible students who fully participated were successful (Provincial Average 85%)
