Mary Helen Musselman won $750 in Wednesday’s Catch the Ace draw, choosing Envelope No. 3 which contained the Three of Clubs. If she had caught the Ace of Spades, she would have won $9,406! A nice chunk of change, especially this close to Christmas. She won her ticket at Friday’s Trivia Night. Another reason to grab your friends and come out for a fun Friday Night! Keep buying your tickets; the jackpot should be close to $10,000 by Wednesday.

Stephanie Rutledge was our double-dipper at the Saturday Meat Draw and Megan Horn not only won meat but also won $140 in the 50/50 draw.

Congratulations to Marie Haldenby and John Cutter who split the $1,000 jackpot at Thursday Night Bingo. Remember, you can stop in and enjoy a Bingo Dog and a cold beverage every Thursday starting at 5 p.m., zip up stairs and order some onion rings or fries for the full meal deal - best prices in town!

The Remembrance Day service will be held Saturday, Nov. 11, at the Legion, beginning at 10 a.m. We expect a large crowd and encourage people to attend and help us remember all the veterans who sacrificed so much for us. There will be a luncheon after the service, by donation.

There are still a few tickets left for Lulu’s, Dec 2. Get your tickets at the Legion club room bar or at Grey Matter; they are $40 each. This is the first fund-raiser for the kitchen upgrades.

We will be revving up for New Year’s after Remembrance Day, and I will be reporting all the details soon. You should be booking your babysitters in advance, I hear there is a shortage of them.

Calling all veterans, spouses, widows and caregivers! There is a Veterans Christmas Banquet being held in your honour, Dec. 10, beginning at 2 p.m., with dinner at 4 p.m., at the Kincardine Legion. The Bob Fletcher Jazz Quartet will be entertaining us. There is no charge to veterans, spouses, widows and caregivers. Guests are welcome at a cost of $30 each; RSVP by Dec. 1 to Peggy Griffin, 519-396-4292.
