South Bruce OPP respond to collision, arrest impaired driver
(HURON TWP, ON) - Nov. 4, at 1:20 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a two-vehicle collision along Highway 21 in Huron Township.
Officers responded to find that one of the involved vehicles had left the area.
The vehicle was located, and the driver was found to have been drinking alcohol, was placed under arrest and taken to a Qualified Intoxilizer Technician for breath tests.
Wade LOWRY, 33, of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh was charged with:
- Impaired Driving
- Operate over-80 milligrams
- Dangerous Driving
- Fail to stop after accident
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton, Jan. 17, 2024, to answer to the charges.
There were no injuries reported at the scene.
An impaired driving charge includes an immediate 90-day driver's licence suspension and an immediate seven-day vehicle impoundment.
