South Bruce OPP charge three impaired drivers in two days
(SOUTHERN BRUCE COUNTY, ON) - The South Bruce OPP has arrested and charged three motorists with impaired driving in two days.
- Nov. 13, at 1:50 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received a driving complaint in Brant Township. Officers located the vehicle and found that the driver had been drinking alcohol. Lance REINHART, 35, of Carrick Township was charged with Impaired Driving and Operate over-80 milligrams. The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton, Jan. 10, 2024, to answer to the charges.
- Nov. 12, at 6:50 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a crash involving a vehicle and a tractor along Concession 10 in Greenock Township. Officers responded with members of the Walkerton Fire Department. One of the drivers was found to have been drinking alcohol. Samantha YORK, 38, of the Municipality of Kincardine was charged with Operate over-80 milligrams. The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton, Dec. 13, to answer to the charge. There were minor injuries reported at the scene.
- Nov. 12, at 4:26 a.m., a South Bruce OPP officer on patrol along Queen Street North in Paisley, stopped a Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV). The driver was found to have been drinking alcohol. Athena WOLFE, 23, of Arran-Elderslie Township was charged with Operate over-80 milligrams. The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton, Dec. 13, to answer to the charge.
An impaired driving charge includes an immediate 90-day driver's licence suspension and an immediate seven-day vehicle impoundment.
