​Old Lucknow standpipe demolished

It was out with the old and in with the new, as the 92-year-old Lucknow standpipe was demolished last week.

Priestly Demolition Inc. began the work Monday (Nov. 20), and was set to wrap up by Saturday (Nov. 25). The demolition was done by removing one panel at a time.

The old standpipe was built in 1931. The new Lucknow elevated water tower was commissioned Nov. 8.
