Dennis Flavell’s photo wins “Where’s Liz?” contest
The votes are in, and there was a tie for the most popular photo of Kincardine Record editor/reporter Liz Dadson in the “Where's Liz?” contest.
Both photos received five votes, so the two numbers were tossed in a hat, and the winner goes to
Dennis Flavell of Kincardine whose photo (above) was taken of Liz at the Kincardine Lions Canada Day barbecue in Kincardine.
It featured Liz sharing a laugh with the Lions Club members while putting ketchup on her hamburger at the popular barbecue. Flavell has won a $100 gift card to Sobeys which he plans to donate to the Kincardine Food Bank, on behalf of the Kincardine

Lions.
Second place went to
Jane Buckingham of Kincardine whose photo (right) shows Liz covering the Ripley-Huron Fall Fair, with the eye of her camera right on Buckingham. The photo also received five votes, and Buckingham has won a $50 gift card to Fincher’s.
Third place went to
Rhonda Turland of Kincardine whose photo (below) shows Liz covering, and enjoying, the Adam Cousins Band at the Kincardine Legion on Canada Day. The photo received four votes, and Turland has won a $25 gift card to Fincher’s which she plans to donate to the Christmas Hamper program.
There were almost 50 votes cast for the 76 photos.
Honourable mention goes to Sue Forrester for her photo of Liz at the Kincardine Fair (three votes), Jenny Raspberry for her photo of Liz sharing a laugh with the executive director of the Kincardine Chamber of Commerce at the Kincardine Scottish Festival (three votes) and D. Morris for her photo of Liz at the Kincardine Marine Heritage Festival (three votes).
Thank you to everyone who submitted photos, and to those who voted for their favourite photo.
Special thanks to our contest sponsors, Heather, Sam and Brandon Finnie of Century 21 In-Studio Realty, Kincardine.
