Crowd gathers for annual tree-lighting in Tiverton
It was a cold, windy night, with a bit of snow in the air, but a good crowd gathered at St. Andrews Park in Tiverton for the annual tree-lighting, Sunday evening, Dec. 3.
Santa Claus greeted everyone and then had the children count down for the lighting of the large tree on the east side of the park, as well as all the beautiful lights throughout the park.
Kincardine mayor Kenneth Craig and a few members of council led the carol-singing, along with organizers Lisa Robertson Taylor and Heather Convay.
People enjoyed hot chocolate and cookies provided by the Tiverton Baptist Church, and children toured through a fire truck supervised by Tiverton firefighters.
