Kincardine Legion Corner
The final
Catch the Ace draw for 2023, was held Wednesday afternoon, and was won by David Robinson who chose Envelope No. 28 which contained the Jack of Spades. He won $1,509. The next draw will be Jan 3, 2024. There will be no on-line purchases until Dec. 27 at midnight. You can still purchase tickets at all the other outlets: the Legion club room bar, Jean’s Family Restaurant, Sleepers Bed Gallery, Edward Fuels and In Style, as well as Kwik Way in Tiverton. You have only a few days left to grab that extra stocking stuffer or slip it into a Christmas card for that wonderful neighbour or that special person who somehow makes your day a little bit brighter. Tickets are $5 each and the next jackpot should be sitting at $24,000 or more.
There were no double-dippers at the final
Saturday Meat Draw of 2023 and Sharron Conquergood won $196 in the 50/50 draw.
The
Tuesday Night Dart League had its Christmas party and raised $1,500 for the Kincardine Food Bank, as well as a van full of non-perishable food. Good job!
Sunday evening saw another successful
Family Dinner. Thank you to all our amazing volunteers who worked so hard to make this special day such a great success. A special shout-out to our cook, Jon Shaw, who brought some Christmas magic into the Legion kitchen - the turkey dinner was amazing.
Just a reminder the
Legion will be closed Dec. 24-26 for the holidays but will be open Dec. 27. There will be no bingo on the 28th and no meat draw on the 30th.
This is the final Legion Corner for 2023. I am taking a break to spend time with family and friends until Dec. 30 when the volunteers of the decorating group get together to prepare the Legion Hall for New Year’s Eve and The New Year’s Day Levee.
So until next year, have a very Merry Christmas and a joyous New Year!
