Kincardine Legion Corner

Winner of this week’s Catch the Ace draw was Christie Graham who took home $1,565. She chose Envelope No. 22 which contained the Five of Clubs. If she had caught the Ace of Spades, she would have won the jackpot of $25,436! The jackpot next Wednesday should be almost $27,000; so, grab your tickets and join in the fun!

The first Saturday Meat Draw of 2024 was just as exciting as the first Catch the Ace draw! It was great to see everyone after the holidays and catch up on all the holiday stories. Gloria Ferrier was this year’s first double-dipper and Joanne Todd won the 50/50 draw taking home $227, Dylan Vanceeder, a newcomer to the Legion and his first time playing in the meat draw, was a winner. We hope he and his friends come back again.

Trivia Night is approaching fast on Jan. 19, and as of today, there are only nine tables left. So, if you want to play, you should book your table soon - eight people to a team and it costs $5 per person to play. You must sign up and pay in advance at the club room bar. Due to the popularity of this event, we cannot hold tables.

The kitchen renovations are under way and going well. I will keep you up-to-date on the progress.
