Driver airlifted to London hospital after single-vehicle crash near Bluevale

(MORRIS-TURNBERRY, ON) -  Huron County OPP and members of the OPP West Region Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Team are investigating a single-vehicle crash that occurred east of Bluevale Monday morning, Nov. 9.
 

At approximately 8:12 a.m., officers from the Huron County OPP detachment, along with North Huron Fire Department and Huron County EMS, responded to the scene on Amberley Road (Huron County Road 86) west of Ramsay Line.
 

The initial investigation has determined the driver of a Honda Civic was travelling westbound on Amberley Road when he lost control of his vehicle while attempting to overtake another vehicle. The car left the roadway, rolled and ended up on its side in a field. 
 

The 18-year-old male driver was transported to hospital by air ambulance with life-threatening injuries. His passenger, a 19-year-old female, was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
 

Amberley Road was closed from Brussels Line to Harriston Road for the safety of the investigators.
