South Bruce OPP report disturbance; domestic violence incidents; and impaired driver

ONE ARRESTED FOLLOWING DISTURBANCE IN KINCARDINE

(KINCARDINE, ON) - Jan. 21, at 12:09 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a disturbance in the 300 block of Queen Street in Kincardine.

Officers responded with members of Bruce County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to find an individual had been injured with an edged weapon.

As a result of the police investigation, one person was taken into custody without incident.

Kimberley HUNT, 41, of the Municipality of Kincardine was charged with:
 

• Assault with a Weapon
• Fail to Comply with Probation - two counts

The accused remains in custody pending the results of a show cause hearing.

INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE INVESTIGATION LEADS TO CHARGES

(HURON KINLOSS TWP, ON) - Jan. 18, the South Bruce OPP responded to an address in Huron-Kinloss Township and initiated an intimate partner violence investigation.

As a result of the investigation, a 52-year-old resident of Huron-Kinloss Township has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
 

• Spousal Assault
• Assault
• Domestic Mischief

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton at a later date. 

INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE INVESTIGATION LEADS TO CHARGES

(HURON KINLOSS TWP, ON) - Jan. 17, the South Bruce OPP responded to an address in Huron-Kinloss Township and initiated an intimate partner violence investigation.

As a result of the investigation, a 20-year-old Huron County resident has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences of Spousal Assault - two counts.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton at a later date.

INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE INVESTIGATION LEADS TO CHARGES

(KINCARDINE, ON) - Jan. 17, the South Bruce OPP responded to an address in Kincardine and initiated an intimate partner violence investigation.

As a result of the investigation, a 42-year-old Perth County resident has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
 

• Harassing Communications
• Fail to Comply with Release Order - 15 counts

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton at a later date.

The OPP will not release names to protect the identity of the victims.

IMPAIRED DRIVER ARRESTED AT RIDE CHECK

(KINCARDINE, ON) - Jan. 18, at 8:58 p.m., members of the South Bruce OPP were conducting a RIDE check on Millennium Way in Kincardine, when a vehicle was stopped.

Officers noted that the driver was exhibiting signs of impairment. The driver was placed under arrest and taken to a Qualified Drug Recognition Expert for testing.

Justin HAVENS, 24, of Huron-Kinloss Township was charged with Impaired Driving and Drive with Cannabis Readily Available.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton, Feb. 28, to answer to the charges.

An impaired driving charge includes an immediate 90-day driver's licence suspension and an immediate seven-day vehicle impoundment.
