Ripley Reunion committee puts out call for groups seeking funding
The Ripley Reunion committee has a good deal of money to donate back into the community before the end of 2015.
The reunion, held July 30 to Aug. 3, was a great success, thanks to the enthusiastic community that donated time, money and services, and bought thousands in merchandise, dance tickets and beverages.
The final tally will be announced by chairperson Amanda Farrell Walsh at the Huron-Kinloss council meeting Nov. 16.
Meanwhile, the committee is asking community groups and organizations, that are seeking funding, to each submit a formal letter to
info@ripleyreunion.ca, with information about your group, how much funding you'd like and what you would put the money toward. The deadline is Nov. 27.
The reunion committee will then meet to decide the best use of the event profits and, hopefully, your organization is on that list!
