Kincardine Guiding units study safety themes at sleepover on the weekend
The Kincardine Brownies, Guides and Pathfinders studied various aspects of safety, during their Sleepover, held Friday to Saturday, Nov. 6-7, at Kincardine Baptist Church.
The girls and leaders, Alicia Noakes and Liz Dadson, with parent volunteer Trish Hilton, stowed their gear in the basement of the church Friday night and enjoyed a snack and a campfire circle, before bed.
Saturday, they completed several activities and games, as well as cooking breakfast and lunch, and hiking to the downtown core to check out what's safe and what's not in the community.
The event wrapped up Saturday afternoon.
The girls, parents and friends will hold an Enrollment ceremony Tuesday night, Nov. 17, at Kincardine Baptist Church.
