Thank you to everyone who came out for the Remembrance Day service in Tiverton, Wednesday morning. Honouring our veterans is one of the best ways to show our respect and appreciation for all their sacrifices. They deserve this and so much more.

While pinning Ilene McMasters' medals (from her service in the military) on her blouse, it made me realize that there are so many people out there who don’t get the recognition they deserve for their part until Remembrance Day. This could be the person at the grocery store next to you in line, or the person walking the dog or even your next door neighbour. We have so many residents who were involved in the war - serving in the military or as a victim of war. Let's respect our elderly, they may have served in uniform or been a victim of war. God bless them all.

Birthday wishes go out to Ashley Young and Hugh Hunter.
