​South Bruce OPP report disturbance; stunt-driver; domestic violence; and impaired driver

ONE ARRESTED AFTER POLICE RESPOND TO DISTURBANCE

(HURON TWP, ON) - March 9, at 9:22 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a disturbance along Blair's Trail in Huron Township.

Officers responded and located an intoxicated individual at the scene who was taken into custody without incident.

A 25-year-old Township of Arran-Elderslie resident was charged with:
 

• Being intoxicated in a public place
• Open liquor in authorized place

POLICE LAY STUNT-DRIVING CHARGE

(CARRICK TWP, ON) - March 9, at 7:36 p.m., a South Bruce OPP officer on patrol along Concession 6 East in Carrick Township, noticed a vehicle moving at a high rate of speed. The vehicle's speed was displayed on radar at 144 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone. 

A 27-year-old Municipality of Brockton resident was charged with Stunt-Driving.

This charge includes an immediate 30-day driver's licence suspension and an immediate 14-day vehicle impoundment.

INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE INVESTIGATION LEADS TO CHARGES

(HURON-KINLOSS TWP, ON) - March 9, the South Bruce OPP responded to an address in Huron-Kinloss Township and initiated an intimate partner violence investigation.

As a result of the investigation, a 29-year-old resident of Huron-Kinloss Township has been charged with the following Criminal Code offence: Spousal Assault.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton at a later date.

The OPP will not release names to protect the identity of the victims.

CALLER HELPS STOP IMPAIRED DRIVER

(LUCKNOW, ON) - March 8, at 8:36 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a suspected impaired driver. Officers located the vehicle along Willoughby Street in Lucknow and found that the driver had been drinking alcohol.

The driver was placed under arrest and taken to a Qualified Intoxilizer Technician for breath tests.

Jeff SCHNEYDERBERG, 48, of the Township of Huron-Kinloss was charged with:
 

• Impaired Driving
• Operate over-80 milligrams

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton, April 24, to answer to the charges.

An impaired driving charge includes an immediate 90-day driver's licence suspension and an immediate seven-day vehicle impoundment.
