South Bruce OPP report stunt-driver; impaired driver; and domestic violence

POLICE LAY STUNT-DRIVING CHARGE

(KINCARDINE, ON) - March 14, at 6:32 a.m., a South Bruce OPP officer on patrol along Highway 21 in the Municipality of Kincardine, noticed a vehicle moving at a high rate of speed. The vehicle's speed was displayed on radar at 135 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone.

A 27-year-old City of Sarnia resident was charged with Stunt-Driving.

This charge includes an immediate 30-day driver's licence suspension and an immediate 14-day vehicle impoundment.

IMPAIRED DRIVER ARRESTED

(KINCARDINE, ON) - March 13, at 2:20 a.m., a South Bruce OPP officer on patrol, checked on a vehicle along Queen Street in Kincardine.

The driver was found to have been drinking alcohol, was placed under arrest and taken to a Qualified Breath Technician for breath tests.

Nolan WILLIAMSON, 20, of the Municipality of Kincardine was charged with Operation while impaired - blood-alcohol concentration (80-plus).

INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE INVESTIGATION LEADS TO CHARGES

(KINCARDINE, ON) - March 12, at 9:25 p.m., the South Bruce OPP responded to an address in Kincardine and initiated an intimate partner violence investigation.

As a result of the police investigation, a 36-year-old of the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
 

• Assault with a weapon - two counts
• Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
• Break and Enter
• Mischief
• Operation while impaired - blood-alcohol concentration (80-plus)

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing. The OPP will not release names to protect the identity of the victims.
