Lucknow Kinsmen donate $100,000 to Wingham Hospital CT scanner campaign

The Lucknow and District Kinsmen Club has donated $100,000 to the Wingham and District Hospital Foundation’s "Caring Together" campaign to install a CT scanner at the hospital.

The club and Lucknow’s Music in the Fields have been long-time supporters of the foundation. They made a transformational gift toward the major hospital renovation in 2016 and have supported the local radiothon since 2010.

This most recent gift brings their lifetime contribution to the hospital to $390,000. This impressive generosity is made only more impressive when considering that the group also supports several other local hospitals, causes and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Kinsmen Club president Cal McDonagh said the hospital is important to the club’s members, their families and everyone who attends their events. “We want to see our local hospitals be in a good position for the future.”

Funds for this significant donation were raised, in large part, through the continued success of Lucknow’s Music in the Fields. The 2024 event will take place Aug. 22-24, with tickets available at www.musicinthefields.ca.
