Donations presented to food gardens and food bank

Donations in the past week have been made to the Bruce Botanical Food Gardens in Ripley and the Kincardine Food Bank.

The food gardens received an exciting boost to start the 2024 season, with a generous $2,000 donation from the National Farmers’ Union, Chapter 320.

The money will be used to help fund staffing that delivers education programs and food production to address food security in the area.

The food gardens executive is very grateful for the support of Local 320 and its commitment to education and to the community.

Thursday, members of the Kincardine and District Lions Club gathered at the Kincardine Food Bank and presented the club’s annual donation of $1,200 toward the food bank’s Lions Grub Tubs in the local schools.
