Random acts of kindness make all the difference

Random acts of kindness make all the difference
To the Editor:

We are always hearing of random acts of kindness taking place in our little community which is definitely heart-warming, especially with all the terrible things going on in the world today.

We have been the recipients of such acts of kindness, ranging from having a coffee anonymously purchased while in the drive-thru to life-changing gifts of one nature or another.

Feb. 23 of this year, Liz received her second kidney transplant, the first one lasting 40 years. Returning to dialysis was heart-breaking but necessary.

The support and love we have received from family and friends leading up to and during the operation, and since coming home, have been unbelievable and will never be forgotten.

If you have so much as asked how Liz is doing, thank you so much from both of us. It has made a difference in her recovery that is immeasurable.

Slowly, but surely, day-by-day, things are getting better. Liz is getting stronger and will soon be seen collecting beach glass with her granddaughters down at the lake.

Again, thank you all so much!
