Kincardine Legion Corner

The Legion is becoming the hot spot on Wednesday afternoon as the next Catch the Ace draw will have an estimated jackpot of $100,000! Five bucks gets you a chance at winning! Congratulations to Ernie Parker who won a whopping $5,979 in Wednesday’s draw. He chose Envelope No. 18 which held the Six of Clubs.

There was no Saturday Meat Draw due to the power outage so all the meat that was slated for that day will now be rolled into our Mega Meat Draw this Saturday, April 20, starting at 2 p.m. So, I guess you can call it a “Mega Mega” Meat Draw! “Highway 19” will be there to entertain us and I understand there will be food available. Good luck, everyone; I hope you have a fantastic time.

Check out our Legion website and see what’s cooking for lunch. I have heard great things from people who have tried it out. The menu changes weekly; it is served Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from Noon to 2 p.m.

Thursday Night Bingo is going strong and we are always looking for volunteers to keep it running smoothly. If you have never played, why not stop by the Legion on Thursday around 5:30 p.m. and check out the state-of-the-art Bingo equipment, and play a few games?

Big congratulations to Monica te Vaarwerk of Huron Heights Public School in Kincardine, for an outstanding Remembrance Day colour poster. She won first place in the junior division, for both the Kincardine Legion and Zone competitions, and second place at the District level.
