Huron County OPP and Goderich officials discuss CAMSAFE program

(GODERICH, ON) - Members of the Huron County OPP partnered with Goderich municipal staff to meet with business owners and community members on the Square in Goderich, Friday.

The joint initiative was an opportunity to talk about the CAMSAFE program which encourages business owners and homeowners to register their video surveillance systems which may assist police investigators in the event of a crime.

The program is voluntary, and police do not have direct access to the surveillance systems. It is designed to save investigators time by contacting companies or individuals who have surveillance, are registered, and are willing to work with police to solve crime.
