South Bruce OPP report impaired driver; and drugs and weapons seized

POLICE ARREST IMPAIRED DRIVER

(BROCKTON, ON) - April 21, at 3:21 a.m., members of the South Bruce OPP responded to a traffic complaint of a vehicle parked in a live lane of traffic on Bruce County Road 19.

Police located the vehicle parked and the driver showed signs of impairment. The driver was placed under arrest and taken to a Qualified Breath Technician for breath tests.

Neal Korchak, 31, of Owen Sound was charged with:
 

• Operation while impaired - alcohol
• Operation while impaired - blood-alcohol concentration (80-plus)

TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO DRUG AND WEAPON SEIZURE

(KINCARDINE, ON) - April 18, at 7:32 p.m., officers with the South Bruce OPP stopped to check a vehicle along Durham Street in Kincardine.

During the interaction with the occupants, officers observed illicit drugs in plain view. A search incident to arrest led to the seizure of a quantity of drugs and prohibited weapons (below).



As a result of the investigation, the South Bruce OPP have charged the following individuals:

Gavin ARNOLD, 42, of no fixed address:
 

• Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (two counts)
• Unauthorized possession of a weapon
• Fail to comply with probation (two counts)

Victoria MARSH, 30, of the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie:
 

• Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (two counts)

Brendan RITCHIE, 34, of Meaford:
 

• Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (two counts)

Preston RITCHIE, 23, of Saugeen First Nation:
 

• Possession. of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (two counts)
• Unauthorized possession of a weapon

Kelly SIEFRIED, 39, of the Town of South Bruce Peninsula:
 

• Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (two counts)
• Failure to comply with undertaking

The accused parties were held for a bail hearing in Walkerton.
