Huron County OPP officer charged following two-vehicle collision

(HURON EAST, ON) – A member of the Huron County OPP has been issued a Provincial Offence notice, following a two-vehicle collision, Nov. 17, at 11:40 a.m.
 

The officer had completed a traffic investigation and was making a turn on Cardiff Road in Huron East when the fully-marked police cruiser struck a parked vehicle. There was minor damage to both vehicles, but no injuries were reported at the scene.
 

Provincial Constable Graham AVERY was charged with Start from a Stopped Position – Not in Safety, contrary to section 142(2) of the Highway Traffic Act.  He has served with the OPP for one year.
